Downtown hotel, easy walk to university and royal mile. Family of 4, rented a 4-person room with bunk beds. Linens provided, clean and comfortable. Teenage sons loved the bar and outdoor patio. Front desk staff helpful and kind, assisted with printing. Great value, would stay again.

This was my first time using a hostel type facility. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size, the facility well managed and the staff was great. Loved having Wi-Fi.
The room was not as clean as I would have liked. The bathroom floors were dirty and the carpets were not vacummed well. Other than that, it was a good experience.

The location of the hostel is great, a side street off the royal mile. Would def stay there again. Close to a quirky little bar call The Waverly - worth a visit :)

The location is fantastic - walking distance to the Royal Mile, the castle & many other places. They do have towels & bedding there, which is nice. Better than a usual hostel.
It's OK for a weekend, but longer I would stay in a more comfortable hotel. Hated the shower - is noisy, but to be expected at a hostel!

Nice place in the city centre. I was afraid the room would be very noisy, after reading the other reviews, but the noise from the bar was acceptable and didn't disturb us. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.
We had to wait in a que at the reception for about an hour in order to get into our rooms because there were problems with the cleaning. The receptionist was very helpful and gave us another room that was clean.
